I adapted this from SB's Arrachera (Skirt Steak Taco Filling). Hope you like it as much as my family did!

1 tablespoon ground black pepper

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle Mexican beer (such as Corona®)

10 bone-in chicken thighs with skin

½ cup barbecue sauce
